The dosing disc with cover is a circular plate (the dosing disc) fitted with a matching top cover — together they form a sealed powder-holding chamber atop the disc.
The cover prevents powder or granules from spilling during operation, while the disc rotates to align holes under tamping pistons or plungers that meter fixed amounts of powder into capsules.
During the filling cycle, powder from the hopper flows into the disc’s holes; then tamping pins compress the powder to form a “slug,” which is later ejected downward into empty capsule bodies.
